Life As I know It

Now that my studio is mainly done and that the hiccups that naturally occurred have been dealt with(mostly). It is on to cleaning out some old stock - hoping to do this at She Creates in Kingston tomorrow. Surprising the odd things one finds when moving and organizing supplies and stock.
All about keeping up the momentum.
Been working on the website and price charts for consulting aka Wardrobe Evolutions. It is time to get more structured so clients have a better understanding of the breakdown of fees. Also about me being better at managing my time effectively. 
Yesterday got some pictures done of a few of my latest creations which is definitely a step in the right direction. 
So that is my Life As I Know It At This Moment In Time.

Been working on a new work space for the last month. Between my part-time job, family and trying to get the space sorted I haven't known if I am coming or going most of the time. But I am reaching the finish line on the space. I actually have a real change room(aweeesoome). Something I have been coveting for quite a while.

This coming week the plan is to get the space set up to actually create in and be able to schedule client appointments.

Quick Update

Where I will be this upcoming weekend.
It has been busy in my life the last few months which is wonderful. But it is stressing that I need to really work out a schedule so I can keep up to date on a lot of things. Presently working on a plan for the new year.

Conversations

Most everyone in North America atomatically knows what this means. But my daughter in the car today asked what did I love NY mean.

She didn't believe me when I said I love New York. Her instant response was why would it mean that. So of course it became a game what could it mean.Some of our suggestions are as follows:

I love New Yoyos

I love New Yarn

I love Nervous Yodelers

Anyways she still doesn't really believe me that it stands for I love New York.

Camping

So munchkin and I went camping this past weekend with her Sparks troupe. We headed off to Carruther's Point in Kingston. She was thrilled with the whole concept and it was a good introduction to camping for a 6 year old. One of my responsibilities before we even headed out was a mess kit/ditty bag for each of us. So the following pics are of hers.

The green plastic dinnerware(extremely retro) is from a picnic basket I picked up one day while thrifting. It was wicker with everything for 4 people and a really good deal. We have been known to grab some food and go for impromptu picnics at one of the local parks. But now some of it has got to go camping.

Vintage Fabric Headbands

Some of the vintage fabric headbands that I have created lately. They are made so you can wear them fully extended as in these pictures or hand pleat them before putting them on for a variety of looks. A pleated option seen in the following example.
